Viber Setup Guide

Send form submission notifications to Viber. Create a bot and receive messages on your phone.

Setup steps

1Sign in to the Viber admin panel

Go to partners.viber.com and sign in with your Viber account. You will need to verify your phone number.

2Create a bot account

Click Create Bot Account to start the bot creation process.

3Fill in the bot details

Enter a name for your bot (e.g., "FormBlade Alerts"), select a category, and add a short description. You can also upload an avatar for the bot.

4Copy the authentication token

After creating the bot, Viber will display an authentication token. Copy this token — you will need it in the next step.

5Configure FormBlade

Log in to your FormBlade dashboard. Open the form you want to configure, go to Settings → Notifications, and click Viber. Paste your bot token and click Save.

6Find your bot in Viber

Open Viber on your phone and search for your bot by name. Tap on the bot to open the conversation.

7Start a conversation with the bot

Send any message to the bot (or tap Start if prompted). This is required for the bot to be able to send you messages.

8Verify the connection

FormBlade will automatically detect the connection when you message the bot. Go back to your FormBlade form settings and refresh the page — you should see the status change to Connected.

9Send a test message

Click Send test message in the Viber notification settings. You should receive a test notification in Viber within a few seconds.

Tips

Automatic connection: The connection is automatic — after you message the bot, FormBlade links your Viber account to the form. No need to manually enter any user ID.

Shared bots: Each form uses its own bot token. You can use the same bot for multiple forms, but only the last form that receives a subscription will be linked. For multiple forms, consider creating separate bots.
